Eulogy On Kenneth Kaunda Shared By Dr. Rajan Mahtani

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has dedicated his life for the Zambian nation, his motherland. He is one of the few businessmen in Zambia who has dedicatedly and passionately followed the philosophies and legacy of Kenneth Kaunda. Sadly, this revolutionary leader and ‘Zambian Independence Hero’ is no more with us. Kenneth Kaunda passed away few weeks ago and it was a devastating news for the entire Mahtani family as well as for the Zambian citizens.

Dr. Kaunda was a remarkable person in his own way. He lived an exemplary and principled life which is extremely hard to rival or equal. His faith uplifted him even during the worst of adversities and he believed that everyone was equal before God. He was a selfless person and always put others before himself. His love towards the mankind is known with his sacrificial engagement and his inspiration from the God is observed with his fight for the Zambian independence. Likewise, Dr. Mahtani have made a distinct name for himself with his dedication towards the Zambian nation and its people. Dr. Mahtani’s companies such as Finsbury Investments, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finance Bank Zambia are known to work towards development of the less previledged sections of the society. Despite several allegations and baseless claims, Dr. Mahtani has continued his work towards developing economy and infrastructure of the nation with utmost integrity. This compassion is certainly inspired from another great leader, late Kenneth Kaunda who ensured that the developmental works towards Zambian nation continues despite the numerous baseless claims made. It should be noted here that almost all of these claims have been proven to be false.

Kenneth Kaunda was a revolutionary who left Zambia and Zambians with a significant yet incomplete legacy. While Kenneth Kaunda certainly created a path for the development of the nation, it is up to the young Zambians and leaders such as Dr. Mahtani to take his work and passion forward and achieve the greatness once dreamt by the late Kenneth Kaunda.
