Final Announcement On Portland Cement Zambia Conflicting, Actions Taken By Dr. Mahtani

It is not surprising to see the diminishing productivity of Portland Cement Zambia, considering the ups and downs this cement factory has observed in the past few years. The cement factory was registered by Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a premier businessman and entrepreneur with more than three decades of experience in Zambia. There is a stark contrast between the productivity of the factory during the leadership of Dr. Mahtani and after it was taken. This contrast is a true reflection of the actual caretaker and its interests in the factory’s well being, growth and development.

Portland Cement Zambia

During the leadership of Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the cement factory flourished to a great extent. With surplus production, it quickly became one of the biggest producers of cement within the Zambian nation. This increase in productivity, revenue and profitability automatically resulted in increased wages, compensation and bonus for its employees. Portland Cement Zambia for a period of time was among the top favourite manufacturing factories within Zambia. However, everything changed with the illegal and forceful takeover of the factory.

One look at the current condition of the factory and it will be clear to anyone that the present caretakers of the factory have no interest in its well being. The factory assets are corroding and without repairs or maintenance, majority of the equipment are malfunctioning. Also, the factory cash box is completely empty and majority of the workers have left the factory due to non-payment of wages. Even experts and media reported that the only hope for the survival of the factory was if Rajan Mahtani was given back the ownership of the factory.
