Forbes Identifies Contributions By Dr. Mahtani In The Field Of Philanthropy

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, recently became the only major businessman from Zambia to be awarded with one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards category. Forbes recognised the contributions of Dr. Rajan Mahtani towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia. For this, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was presented with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards were presented during the annual Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. This is a yearly conference which invited leading personalities and visionaries across Africa to participate and discuss about the significance and practical implications of philanthropy and leadership. The roundtable conference is among the most anticipated and regarded business events in Africa. It is held annually at New York. However, this year’s roundtable conference was held online as a result of the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. However, this did not lessen the passion and enthusiasm among the members and the event saw participation from different members including international business committee members, international investors, and media partners. In a similar manner, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was invited in the FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference as an honorary speaker and discussed about the significance of leadership in healthcare.

Both Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference as well as the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony were astounding success. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was recognised by Forbes for his philanthropic and business contributions. His top business contributions include Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. Apart from these business contributions, Dr. Mahtani was also recognized for his philanthropic and charitable contributions. Some of these contributions include founding the Prison Fellowship Zambia as well as the Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia. He humbly accepted the award and said that he will continue to work towards the betterment of the Zambian nation and its people.
