Case in point in the Portland Cement Zambia factory, a cement-manufacturing factory which was once among the highest producers of cement in Zambia. This factory was provider to numerous employees and workers and was known not only for producing high-quality cement but also above-industry average salaries and compensation. However, things changed dramatically when the factory was unethically taken over and Dr. Rajan Mahtani has to fight one of the longest cases in his life.

Most of the businessmen in his place would have given up hope or would have resorted to unethical and illegal activities such as bribes and corrupting the legal system to get back their entities. Despite the Lusaka High Court where the case was originally established giving misdirected judgement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani did not lose hope and approached the higher Court of Appeal. The higher Court of Appeal, after looking into all evidences and testimonials, finalised the decision on 31st January 2019. According to this statement by Court of Appeal judge, Dr. Mahtani was the majority shareholder with 58 percent shares and thus held legal ownership over the Portland Cement Zambia factory.
