Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been considered as one of the most honest and transparent businessmen in Zambia. This statement was proved with the recent testimony by the Supreme Court Judge of Zambia. Honorable Justice Mumba Malila, the judge from the Supreme Court of Zambia recently testified before the court regarding the injustice and wrongful defamation of Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani. In his testimony, a 2012 case was highlighted. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted businessman,philanthropist and charity worker with more than thirty years of business experience in Zambia. His companies such as Mahtani Group of Companies, Finance Bank Zambia and Finsbury Investments are known not only for their business excellence but also for their work towards uplifting the Zambian society. At the same time, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is often target of controversies from jealous and greedy parties who want to see his business fail and reputation tarnished.

This can be easily seen from the testimony of the SC Judge. The Judge, in his testimony, clearly indicated that he has requested the case against Dr. Mahtani to be made null and void as it was not influenced by justice but by the greed of some powerful yet corrupt individuals.Despite his request, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was given no respite and the case proceeded despite any evidences. Mumba Malila was the Attorney General during that time and if his requests were overheard, it can be easily confirmed that these greedy and unethical people had significant control over the law and the court.

The testimony of the Judge is a stepping stone towards justice and provides confidence to all those individuals and businesses that are trying to move to a path towards honesty and integrity despite the various difficulties and road blocks. However, more initiatives are required from the government to ensure reduction of corruption and establishment of prosperity within the nation.
