Dr. Mahtani Accepts Award By Forbes


Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, was recently awarded one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards. Forbes business conferred Dr. Mahtani with the ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. This award was conferred for his significant philanthropic and charitable contributions to the Zambian nation. More specifically, the award was presented to Dr. Mahtani for redefining the banking sector of Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was the only eminent businessman from the entire Zambia who was recognized for his contribution and was presented with the award for the year 2021.

The award ceremony was part of the famous Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. The ceremony along with the roundtable conference is usually held in New York, United States. However, this year’s conference wasa week as the award ceremony was held online because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The events were broadcast across the globe via YouTube medium. FIN is Foreign Investment Limited, an organization responsible for the yearly philanthropy and leadership conference in Africa. Members from Forbes Connect conferred Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani with his Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards 2021. Several critical members graced this event including members from international business communities, opinion leaders, politicians, entrepreneurs, policymakers, religious leaders, media partners as well as international investors.

One of the reasons for the significant popularity and respect for the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards is the transparent yet rigorous process of selecting the candidates for the awards.
