Dr. Rajan Mahtani Announces Support For Abolishing Death Penalty

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, noted businessman and philanthropist from Zambia, recently announced his wholehearted support for the recent announcement by Zambian President. The President of Zambia, Hichilema, announced on the eve of Africa day that he is planning to abolish the death penalty completely.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani stated that more than 380 inmates across Zambia are at present under death penalty. These are the people who are continuously looking behind their shoulder, not knowing which day will be their last. Dr. Rajan Mahtani said that this practice is extremely cruel and also there are inmates who have transformed themselves and are fully dedicated to the service of the god. If there is an opportunity for these inmates to transform their lives, live with repentance and dedication towards the god, then this opportunity is taken away by the inhuman practice of death penalty. Dr. Rajan Mahtani further stated that the last death penalty was given in the year 1997 by President Chiluba. Several Presidents after that avoided the death penalty row by mitigating services. Dr. Rajan Mahtani argued the abolishment of death penalty from both political and economic viewpoint as well as religious viewpoints. With respect to political viewpoints, the decision will definitely improve the political empowerment and will highlight Zambian political changes across the globe. Also, the Zambian Government along with Correctional Services via the Zambian Parole Board have started decongestion of the prisons across the nation with release of prisoners after due diligence. Previous Presidents have considered the condition of prisoners across these Prisons no less than Hell. On a religious viewpoint, Dr. Rajan Mahtani stated that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross paid eventually for all sins of every individual who had faith in him.
As such, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani and his company Prison Fellowship Zambia have pledged their complete support towards this decision from the Zambian President and have stated that they will support making this announcement a reality in any way possible.
