Dr. Rajan Mahtani is a noted businessman, philanthropist and charity worker in Zambia. He has more than three decades of business experience during which he has successfully built companies both domestically and at international levels. Some of his top companies in Zambia are Finance Bank Zambia, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments. He has also established companies in international market such as United Kingdom. Apart from his business acumen, Dr. Mahtani is also known for his philanthropic and charitable activities although he never uses his philanthropic activities for public promotions or improving his reputation. He is among the few businessmen in Zambia who has been able to bring foreign investments in a consistent manner and improve the economic conditions of the nation. Despite his several notable contributions to the Zambian society, he is often targeted by conspirators and enemies who want to see his reputation gone.

A revealing and shocking testimony was given by noted justice Mumba Malila of the Supreme Court of Zambia few months back. This testimony was given in front of the court and revealed various wrongdoings, corruption and unethical practices going on within the nation. While there were numerous detailed statements, one of the most critical was related of 2012 related to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. According to the testimony, the case results were given against Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s claims which were unjustified. The testimony revealed that the case decision was misdirected and was against the interests of the public policies. The decision making was influenced by external forces having vested interests. Justice Malila further stated that despite several attempts to make the case null and void, no such requests were entertained by the Tribunal. It was a clear case of influenced decision making and the power of corrupt yet rich businessmen and politicians is easily seen.
