The latest testimony from the Supreme Court Judge of Zambia himself is a fine example of sticking to honesty and ethical business path, with ultimately leads to success. The testimony pertains to Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has more than three decades of business experience where in he has successfully established numerous businesses. Some of his achievements are Finsbury Investments, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finance Bank Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is also known for his ethical, transparent and straight business practices, something which never aligns with the large-scale corruption and similar scale of corrupt business houses and individuals. As a result, false accusations and deceptive campaigns are not surprise for Dr. Rajan Mahtani who has been fighting these all his business life.

Recently,the Supreme Court Judge of Zambian Supreme Court gave a testimony regarding past cases. The objective behind the testimony was to highlight the possible false accusations on individuals and groups during that time. One of the main issues raised during this testimony was related to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. In his testimony, the SC Judge Mumba Malila raised the concern of false prosecution of Dr. Rajan Mahtani in the 2012 case. He clearly stated that the judgment was politically motivated and was against public interests. Also, his testimony stated that during this process, suggestions were made to make the judgment null and void as the prosecution was not in the interests of the public policies. However, outside influence,political motivations as well as unethical coercions from few greedy and illegal individuals and groups resulted in the false prosecution.

The testimony from the Supreme Court Judge will definitely ensure that amendments are made. However, this is just one example and there is an urgent need for people to come out of shadows and speak against the unethical and illegal practices.
