Dr. Rajan Mahtani Conferred With Forbes Award For Philanthropy

The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards is among the most respected, anticipated, and notable business awards in Zambia. The awards are presented to those leaders and visionaries who have made significant philanthropic and charitable contributions across Africa as well as those who continue to work to achieve long-term empowerment across the African nation. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman, philanthropist, and charity worker from Zambia, was conferred with one of these awards. For his significant contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani was conferred with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani took this award with pride, thanking God as well as his team for their support, and said that he will continue to work towards the growth and development of the Zambian nation and its people as this is his priority. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was also the only major businessman and the first from Zambia who was conferred with this prestigious award.

The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards was presented during the Forbes-FIN (Foreign Investment Limited) philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference. It is one of the most anticipated and regarded business events in Zambia. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was invited to this event as an honorary speaker and discussed the significance of leadership in healthcare. Apart from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award recognized several other personalities in the field of philanthropy and leadership. Some of these winners included Paul Adefarasin, Wendy Ackerman, Nana Kwame Bediako, Sam Matekane, Leonard NS Ekeh, Ken Sharpe, Claver Gatete, and Mahmood Ahmadu. Therefore, it can be said that it is good that there are so many entrepreneurs, businessmen, and visionaries who are working hard and thinking about the welfare of the African nation, just like Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Zambia and Africa are in urgent need of these entrepreneurs, businessmen, and philanthropists for their overall development and long-term growth.
